Gründung

Die Bürgerstiftung der Hansestadt Wismar ist eine gemeinnützige Stiftung zur Förderung insbesondere sozialer, kultureller und sportlicher Belange in der Hansestadt Wismar.
Dabei versteht sich die Bürgerstiftung als eine Gemeinschaftseinrichtung von Bürgern für alle Bürger, die sich mit der Stadt verbunden fühlen.
Die Bürgerstiftung ist eine Form der gemeinschaftlichen Verantwortung in einem demokratisch verfassten Gemeinwesen.
Durch die Bürgerstiftung werden solche Vorhaben gefördert, die im Interesse der Stadt und ihrer Bürger liegen.
Die Bürgerstiftung sammelt Kapital, mit dessen Erträgen die Förderung der ver-schiedenen Vorhaben realisiert werden kann.
Die Bürgerstiftung der Hansestadt Wismar ist die erste Bürgerstiftung in den neuen Bundesländern und wurde am 10.09.1998 vom Innenministerium Mecklenburg-Vorpommern genehmigt.
Die Bürgerstiftung ist eine rechtsfähige Stiftung bürgerlichen Rechtes.

The Bürgerstiftung of the Hanseatic town Wismar is a charitable foundation supporting and sponsoring local social, cultural and sporting interests and needs of the city.
It sees itself as a common institution from citizens for citizens, who feel themselves oblieged to the city.
The Bürgerstifting is supporting projects, which are of interest for the town and ist inhabitants.
The Bürgerstiftung Wismar is a model of common responsibility in a democratic society. It encourages individual initiative and public solidarity.
In this process the foundation is collecting and amounting a basic financial capital. From the earnings the costs of the various projects supported by the Bürgerstiftung Wismar can be paid.
The Bürgerstiftung of the Hanseatic town Wismar is the first community foundation established in the five new federal states of Germany after the Change. It has been approved by the Department of the Interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on the 10th of September in 1998.
It is an incorporated foundation according to the German civil law.
All members of the board, the board of trustees and the secretary are working honorably.
How can you help?
- You can increase the endowment by your own financial contribution.
The Endowment ist the basic capital, that remains untouched. The annual interest is spend according to the foundations charter. These earnings enable the Bürgerstiftung Wismar to permanently support whorty projects .
Therefore you can donate a certain amount of money (Zustiftung) – once or regularly, per year, per month.
- You may grant donations related to a special projects supported by the Bürgerstiftung Wismar. This donation will be used immidiatly for this project according to the charter, without contributing to the increase of the endowment (Spende).
- You may also contribute by your own honorary work. For example by counselling the Bürgerstiftung, by looking out for worthy projects, by looking after projects. Therefore we need your ideas and suggestions, which can be presented to the board at any time.
All contributions, donations and honorary supporting will directly be of benefit to the projects sponsered by the Bürgerstiftung.
For all kinds of contributions and donations an attest for the German tax authorities will be issued.
